Rome fell. Italy was invaded by the people of Domiavy. The Domiavy had a new way of doing things, in which crimes were punished by fines, or in serious cases, "clamping". If you were "clamped", you had to build or repair 45 roads in order to have the "clamp" removed. The roads were treated with a chemical, which, if parked on, would escape into the air, causing whoever parked to either take on a masculine voice or lose their voice altogether. If this happened and you either didn't want the masculine voice or wanted to stop having no voice altogether, you could go to a broug specialist who would broug your voice back to normal.
